What is F1, F2, F3...?

Do Savannah's require special food or vet care?

Savannahs need diets that have higher crude protein content, such as Natures Variety Instinct formulas which contain more than 40% crude protein or Life's Abundance cat food.

As for veterinary care:

Savannahs do not react well to anesthetics containing Katemine but Isoflourane can be used and is recommended.Savannahs also require KILLED vaccinations ONLY and should NOT be inoculated for FELV and FIP.

Do I need to Savannah-proof my house?

Yes, you do. Savannah kittens think everything is a toy so be cautious of jewelry, earphone cords, paperwork and pens lying around. Savannah cats can jump extremely high, this means that any small and precious heirlooms or glass figurines should be taken down off shelves if you don't want them broken.

Will my Savannah get along with my dog/cat/children, etc?

Savannahs get along well with dogs, children and other pets as long as they are introduced to them at an early age. But can be cautious around strangers and other family members that they are not very familar with, such as distant relatives that don't visit often or for a long time.

Can we come for a visit?

We do not allow visitation to our cattery. It is a private breeding place that is located as part of our household.

This limits the exposure and stress that a cat experiences with every new visitor that it is not familiar with. Savannah cats are very shy with new people and are not exhibition animals.

We believe that cats that are raised in the family have a better chance at adopting to new environments, quicker and easier than a separate cattery that is located somewhere else and is watched by other people.

On the rare occasion that we would allow visitors, it is for serious buyers only and with a minimal time and strictly by appointment. To insure this, we require a nonrefundable deposit on the kitten that you are interested in before you may visit.
